A Life That Reveals the Teacher

Is His work showing through you?

A Life That Reveals the Teacher

Is His work showing through you?

“Show your work,” the teacher said.

I hated that.

Not because I didn’t know the answer, but because I did.

In fact, I could do the whole thing in my head.

(Which, let’s be honest, is the only place I’ve ever done math.)

But she wasn’t just looking for the result.

She wanted to know how I got there.

Faith Isn’t Just About the Right Answer

It’s about how you got there—who you’re becoming along the way..

You can recite verses, sing the songs, and check the boxes.

But what happens when the questions get harder?

When life feels like an unsolvable equation?

Peter once gave the perfect answer:
“Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.” — John 6:68

But he wasn’t done learning.

Later, filled with the Holy Spirit, Peter stood before rulers and boldly proclaimed the healing power and salvation of Jesus Christ.

He didn’t just know the right answer—he knew the person behind the truth. He walked with Jesus, failed Jesus, was restored by Jesus, and now lived to reveal Jesus.
(Acts 4:8–12)

Peter’s life became the answer key.

Is yours?

From Memorizing to Abiding

It’s one thing to know the name of Jesus.

It’s another to know Jesus Himself—to abide in Him so deeply that His love becomes the fruit your life bears.

This is where real transformation happens—not in knowing about Him, but in staying connected to Him.

Show Your Work—Let His Life Be Seen

Let the world see not just your growth—but His life in you.

True confidence in Christ is revealed when your life bears the unmistakable fruit of His love.

You were never meant to “figure it out” on your own.
Jesus said, “Abide in Me, and I in you… apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:4–5)

So here’s the better question:

You may have the right answers…

But is His work showing through you?

Reflection

Am I following Jesus because I know the right answers—or because I’m abiding in Him daily?

Is the fruit of my life pointing to my strength—or to His love?

What part of my story do I need to stop hiding, so others can see Jesus living in me?

Prayer

Jesus, You are more than the right answer—you are my life. Let me abide in You, not just talk about You. Let Your work show through my words, my walk, and my witness. Make me a living display of Your love. Amen.
