Being Loved > Being Lovable

Without Condition

Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

Being Loved > Being Lovable

"In Christ, there is nothing I can do that would make You love me more, and nothing I have done that makes You love me less." JD Greer

When did Jesus love Simon Peter the most?

When Jesus met him as a fisherman?

When Peter answered correctly, "You are the Christ"?

When Jesus told him, "Get thee behind me, Satan!"?

When Jesus told him, "He would build the church upon him."?

When Peter denied Jesus three times in His time of abandonment?

When Jesus restored him on the seashore?

When Peter stood before the crowds and preached that Jesus was the Messiah?

He loved Peter before he fell, when he was trying to stand on his own, when he failed, and when he stood and led many to know Him.

Jesus is Love

It is the same with you and me.

He loves us not based on anything we do or don't do.

He loves us based on His love, not our performance because He is Love.

How have you found yourself trying to earn our Abba Father's love?

What is the difference between being lovable and being loved?

Lord, may we live in the freedom of Your perfect love so that we may become love to all those You want to love through us. Amen
