Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders which You have done,
And Your thoughts toward us;
There is none to compare with You.
If I would declare and speak of them,
They would be too numerous to count. Psalm 40:5
"God is beyond our full explanation, but He's not beyond our knowing Him."
How do you explain to someone how enormous God is?
How do you describe someone Who can do exceedingly more than I can imagine or ask?
How do you explain how He created the heavens and the earth by His voice?
How do you tell of His suspending the earth upon nothing?
How can you expand on the magnitude of His sacrifice in allowing His son to come to our world?
He made a humble arrival, lived a modest existence, and died the most humiliating deaths for us to give Himself to us.
Beyond our imaginative explanation, He bows low enough to reveal Himself to our tininess to the extent that we can understand and be filled with His love.
I fall on my face, amazed.
"When it's over, I want to say: I was a bride married all my life to amazement." Ann Voskamp
