As far as this world is concerned, you have died, and your new, real life is hidden with Christ in God. Col 3:3
When Christ, who IS your life, appears, you will appear with him in glory. Col 3:4
God so loved the world that he gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in Him may not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
Lessons From The Glass Paperweight
I am often grieved when I hear followers of Christ say that they are lost, as in no longer His child.
If we are born again from the new life of Christ, then how can we become unborn?
There is no way to reverse that! My child is my child regardless of his actions.
Period.
Eternal Life Never Dies.
The Father's voice resonates through the apostle Paul in Romans 8:38-39:
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The picture I've attached here is a paperweight. It was a gift to my wife, Cindy.
Look closely.
It illustrates the verse that says we are hidden with Christ in God.
We are the flower and bees in this paperweight. The flower is perfectly visible in a beautiful, strong, clear globe. There is no way to separate the flower from the glass.
They have become one.
This is not only for preservation purposes but also to reveal the beauty of our new life in Him. Try as we may, nothing can break Christ's hold on us. Nothing can separate us from Him and the Father.
Nothing. Nada.
What might change if you were secure in Abba’s love for you?
How would it change how you responded to others?
How would it change how you responded to circumstances?
How would it change your environment?
I pray that you know the real, new you is held and hidden in Him. You are protected and revealed there to show His heart to a world He dearly loves. Amen
