Eternity in Our Hearts
Living the Unbound Life
“He has made everything beautiful in its time.
He has also set eternity in the human heart.”
— Ecclesiastes 3:11
The Longing That Won’t Go Away
We live in time,
but we were not made by time.
Our days move forward—
calendars turn, seasons change—
yet something in us keeps reaching beyond the moment.
That ache for more.
That sense that beauty feels familiar.
That love feels like home.
Solomon names it:
God has placed eternity in the human heart.
Not endless time,
but the very life of God Himself.
Eternity isn’t something we wait for later.
It’s the quality of divine life woven into us now.
The I AM breathing His presence into ordinary moments,
inviting us to live time from love, not anxiety.
When Eternity Stepped Into Time
“The Lamb was slain from the foundation of the world.”
— Revelation 13:8
The Cross was not God’s backup plan.
It was the eternal heart of Love revealed in history.
Before sin appeared,
grace already existed.
Before rebellion,
redemption was chosen.
In Jesus, eternity touched dust.
The timeless God stepped into our timeline
and showed us what has always been true:
Love was never reactive—
it was always revealing.
When we encounter Him,
time loosens its grip.
Worship feels timeless
because our hearts recognize their origin.
The Echo of Home
Our longing for permanence is not weakness.
It’s memory.
A divine homesickness
calling us back to the Source.
Moments of awe—
a sunset, a child’s laughter, quiet tenderness—
are not interruptions to life.
They are reminders.
Time feels like it pauses
because eternity is echoing.
Hope Beyond the Clock
The God who stands beyond time
is not constrained by it in mercy.
That’s why we trust Him
with stories we cannot finish
and outcomes we cannot see.
Eternity is not far away.
It is already unfolding—
within us,
through us,
and ahead of us.
Reflection
What moments in your life feel like echoes of eternity breaking into time?
Where are you still living from urgency instead of trusting God’s timeless presence?
How might your relationships change if you lived from eternity rather than anxiety today?
