Father, Your Will Be Done

Often the answers hide in the waiting.

Here’s what I’ve learned through it all: Don’t give up; don’t be impatient; be entwined as one with the Lord. Be brave and courageous, and never lose hope. Yes, keep on waiting—for he will never disappoint you! Psalm 27:14

Father, Your Will Be Done

We seem to think that God has only answered our prayers when the answer is according to our "directions."

Often, the answers hide in the waiting.

God uses the wait to allow us to grow in faith and bear the fruit of patience.

When the answer is "no," He is allowing us to trust that He knows what is best for us and others.

When the answer is "not that way, my child," He shows us that He has a better way.

So, it is good to pray for God's blessings, but remember, they often come in disguises.

How are your prayers in line with the Holy Spirit's leading?

Describe when you realized that God's blessing was a prayer answered contrary to what you asked.

Lord, may we trust You always. You are both the giver and finisher of our faith. You write the story, not us. Amen
