When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then both of them opened their eyes, and they realized they were naked, so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves. Genesis 3:6-7
Death = Separated.
God is no longer on the inside but on the outside.
If you had listened close, you could've heard Adam's enormous exhale, breathing out the life that God had breathed in.
It didn't mean that Adam and Eve could no longer hear God; they were no longer in communion and intimate relationship with God.
Since they sought their life from other sources, they would continue to seek their life from other sources.
They no longer had the ability nor the desire for Him to rule.
They got what they thought they wanted: control—the perceived ability to be God.
But, in actuality, they had exchanged life for death, love for hate, and allowed another master, Sin, to rule.
The power of Sin (Noun) was given the ropes to call the shots.
Jesus came to put God back into man.
Adam originally had a purpose: to rule and love and glorify the Father.
The fruit of this love was self-control.
Through Jesus Christ, the control and ability to complete this was now present in man.
God's redemptive purpose was to restore us to His original design, to make us the fullness of His image-love.
Life = Joined Together.
How have you sought to find life outside of Abba Father?
How does Jesus living His life in you affect your environment?
What encouragement can you give others about how Jesus is your life now?
Lord, Thank You for Life! Never to be separated again. You are blessing us with eternal reality now. Amen
