It can be a Holy experience
Or a repelling one.
It can draw us to Him
Or spin us out of control.
It can break all pretenses
Or be used to build a wall.
It can expose His light through the cracks
Or cement us inside ourselves.
It can drive us to beg His Presence
Or keep it to ourselves.
It can break open the alabaster jar
Or cause us to bury it deep instead.
It can awaken hope
Or cause despair.
God uses pain to draw us to Him.
