Healing Tears

"Jesus wept."

Jesus wept. John 11:35

Healing Tears

Our trusting the Lord does not mean that there are no times of tears. I think it is a mistake for Christians to act as though trusting the Lord and tears are incompatible. Francis A. Schaeffer

There could be no one person weeping greater than the Son of Man.

So, if God preserved in scripture the knowledge that we can depend upon Him yet experience grief so deep it results in weeping, then why would we think it makes us less like Jesus to cry?

There are numerous scriptural recordings of men and women weeping.

There are over a half dozen of King David alone!

There is not only a human emotional need to cry but a spiritual need that reveals the hope of healing.

Sometimes, tears must flow for us to experience the healing of our Abba Father.

I do not profess to understand how God has made us, Jesus has graced us, or the Holy Spirit moves us in this area of weeping; I know that faith and the resulting experience of weeping lead to the joy of healing.

Is there a relationship, past failures, or current bondage you need to weep over to receive God's healing?

How may you not allow or give yourself or others the right to grieve?

Ask God to reveal the dam holding back the waters He desires to release to wash and clean all your valleys.

You love us so much! We are made in Your image and are wonderfully fearfully made. May we trust your craftsmanship and allow us to be fully human and fully Yours. Break the dams we built up. Amen
