Live From The Inside Out

Don't expect an outside solution for an inside problem.

The afflicted will eat and be satisfied; Those who seek Him will praise the Lord. May your heart live forever! Psalm 22:26

Live From The Inside Out

"I'm constantly amazed at how people will look for an outside solution to an inside problem." Mark

I am still surprised when I do this!

You may ask, "What does this look like?".

In my past, it would have been drinking.

In the present, it could be less obvious.

It could be as simple and seemingly innocuous as seeking someone's approval.

Your outside solution can be different than mine, but as fruitless as an apple tree in January.

Same result.

It's like consuming saccharine for the calories; you remain famished.

The paradox of our life in Him is when we delight in Him, some outside solutions can positively affect our lives.

So, seek Him first.

In what ways are you seeking to satisfy yourself with anything but Him?

Once you identify your outside solutions, what steps can you take to change your "diet"?

Lord, How good, sweet, and delightful You are in all Your ways. May we delight ourselves in You and find that You alone are the real desires of our hearts. Amen
