Really?
Keeping score is probably the number one issue I find in both captives and prisoners (which is most people in and outside the church).
A captive is someone who is imprisoned by the sins of another.
A prisoner is someone who is imprisoned for their own sins.
Each is keeping score.
A record of wrongs.
God has forgiven us through Jesus Christ.
We have been given and honored to receive the Gospel, the Good News, from the battlefield!
The same battlefield that captives and prisoners dwell.
Our Charter is a ministry of reconciliation, and it begins with us!
I beg you to no longer allow what you have done or what others have done unto you to be greater than what Jesus Christ has done for you.
His love keeps no record of wrongs.
His love will set you free from keeping score!

Father, we are tired of lengthening the chains that bind us. In Your mercy, show us where we are record keeping the wrongs in our lives, and by Your grace, break the chains of unforgiveness so that we may run free and release the captives and prisoners You have ordained to rebuild our communities! Amen
