I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and ever-increasing wickedness, now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness. When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. What benefit did you reap then from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, resulting in eternal life. Romans 6:19-22
We were not created to be a slave to sin and the flesh.
We were not made for ourselves.
We were not made for jealousy.
We were not made for pride.
We were not made for disappointment.
We were not made for anger.
We were not made to be broken-hearted.
We were made for love.
We were created for Jesus to express our Abba Father's love through us to a lost and dying world.
It's Not Just About Me.
It never was about us; we are not the only beneficiaries of His love.
We are so marvelously made that we cannot hold all our Father's love. It must continually pour over as a fragrance to the living and perishing!
How can you see God's original purpose for your life?
If God so loved the world that He gave Jesus, what is your purpose as His child?
Lord, let us live tipped over, spilling out Your love to everyone we meet daily. May the great things You said we would do because of You be evident to others. Amen
