Just like starting our greetings by saying, “Hi” or “Hey”, we often finish them with
“Have a great day!”
I have found that if I wait passively to have a great day, I am often left with just that, waiting for something to happen. I would like to make a few suggestions about being proactive with our days..really, our lives.
I am an early riser by design. I have found that it takes me a few hours to get my heart and mind in line with whose I am. That is I am God’s child. My life is not my own, for, I have been bought with a price.
So, I start my day with knowing this and asking Him to lead each step, thought, action and reaction for my day. With that in mind, I get my eyes off of myself and on each person I will meet both on and off my schedule.
EACH INTERACTION WITH ANOTHER PERSON IS AN OPPORTUNITY
TO SHARE GOD’S HOPE AND LOVE.
As His ambassador, He is giving me an opportunity to make a difference is someone else’s life and thus, His world. May we both be better for meeting and sharing our gift of the present. Ultimately may all I meet “have” a better day, because, I chose to “make” it a better day.
