Permeation Is Greater Than Proximity
And This Is The Secret: Christ Lives In You!

You’re Leaving Us?
Imagine hearing Jesus say it would be good for you if He went away. “Good” might not be the word you would have chosen!
He had found these disciples, and they had followed Him, lived with Him, and loved Him.
Now He was leaving and promising to send the Comforter. We can understand why the leaving might have been all they could hear!
Closer Than We Imagined
We often say we know Jesus is here with us. Well, He is closer than that!
Through the Holy Spirit, Jesus shares His Life with us from within.
We don’t have to wish we had lived when we could walk beside Him. We get to enjoy His company in every part of the life we are living now.
Paul calls it “Christ lives in you,” and connects that gift with the assurance of sharing His glory (Colossians 1:27).
Life From The Inside Out
We can bring Him the conversation we’re dreading, the grief we don’t have words for, and the joy we can’t wait to share.
The Comforter Jesus promised is with us in all of it.
And His presence reaches beyond our own needs. His kindness becomes something a friend receives through us; His mercy helps us welcome someone we might otherwise overlook.
Permeation is greater than proximity!
His Life is more than close; He lives from the inside out—and we get to share His Love with one another.
Reflection
Where have I wished Jesus were closer?
What would I share with Him if I remembered He already lives within me?
Who could experience His kindness through me today?
Prayer
Abba Father, awaken us to the Life we share. Let Your Spirit’s comfort and kindness flow through us to one another. Amen.
