Reflection And Projection

Looking back and looking forward.

Therefore, since such a great cloud of witnesses surrounds us, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him, he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:1-3

Reflection And Projection

I've always found the time around the New Year to be an excellent time of reflection and projection. The following questions help with thankfulness, meditation, and direction.

Looking back on 2024

What is the most lasting lesson the Holy Spirit has taught you?

What new routine did you begin and want to continue that helps your intimacy with Abba Father?

If you have lost a significant person in your life through death, divorce, differences, or distance, take time to grieve your loss fully. Then, thank God for what He has given you through your experiences of loss.

What dream is still stirring in you that hasn't been realized yet you know is real?

What are you sure you are being led to do that fear hinders?

What has been your most significant victory of loving others as Jesus has loved you?

How has your mindset become more hopeful?

Looking forward to 2025

God desires that we bear much fruit.

What does this mean in your life?

What is your role in bearing fruit?

How would the lives around you be more fruitful if you denied your life and followed Jesus only?

What are your dreams for the people in your life?

Where does hope need to be in your mental processes?

How could your walking in faith and not feelings change the lives of those God has chosen as your family?

Imagine how the world would be better because God loved others through you.

Lord, may we be sobered knowing that each day is a gift and opportunity to love others as You have loved us. Amen
