Scars Are Evidence Of Healing

Don't be ashamed of your scars.

The other disciples, therefore, said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.” John 20:25

Scars. The Evidence of Healing

Indeed, your scars may be your greatest ministry. Just as the scars of Jesus convinced Thomas, your scars may convince someone today. Adrian Rogers

For some reason, many people have unrealistic expectations of walking through life unscathed.

Others have become so numb that they can't fear because they can't feel.

It is hard to heal when you can't feel.

Being healed doesn't mean you won't suffer or struggle.

It doesn't mean you've become bulletproof or immune to the poison of our enemy.

It doesn't mean you have it all together.

It doesn't mean you don't have scars.

It can mean that God has healed a memory, shed His light on the lies of the enemy, or broken the bondage from the lies of trauma.

Scars are delightful roadmaps that you can share to guide others to the Healer.

They are not badges but living proof of hope.

Don't be ashamed of your scars.

In what ways have you experienced helping others who have seen or heard about your scars?

How have others with scars encouraged you?

Lord, thank You for the evidence of our healing. May our scars be a lighthouse that shines Your light to attract others to safe harbors where You wait to heal them. Amen
