Sharing Precious Treasure

However, we possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves. 2 Corinthians 4:7

To whom are you being led to share His Good News?

The Holy Spirit sent Philip to the desert to share the Good News with an Ethiopian eunuch.

Saul of Tarsus, previously an enemy of Christians, was sent to plant churches among the Gentiles.

Holy Spirit sent Peter, a Jewish follower, to Cornelius the Gentile Centurion.

If it were our decision, in our “wisdom,” we wouldn’t have chosen these people for this mission.

In each situation, the receivers are not the ones we would usually be attracted to share God's love with because it is easy to think they are too far from God.

Yet both the sender and receiver were pivotal in advancing God's Kingdom.

It is impossible for you to 'convert' them, but possible for God to love them through you and for Him to do amazing things far above anything you can imagine!

Display the exceeding greatness of His power!

Who in your life is "Far from God" and seems impossible to reach?

What would your life and the life of everyone you meet look like if God's love consumed you?

Lord, break down our walls of fear and self-centered reasons for not sharing the only Reality that matters. Love. Amen
