Spiritual Health

Christ Jesus Himself is our life.

When Christ, Who is our life, is revealed, you will be revealed with Him in glory. Colossians 3:4

Spiritual Health

When a physician heals a patient, he acts on him from without and, if possible, renders him independent of his aid.

Restores him to health and leaves him.

With Jesus Christ, it is the opposite.

Jesus works from within by entering Himself in the power of His Spirit into our very life.

He then brings us into utter dependence upon Himself, not to be able one single moment to do without Him.

Christ Jesus Himself is our life.

Most Christians expect Christ to continually do something for us from heaven in single acts of grace from time to time and trust Him to give what will last a little while.

This is not being restored to perfect health.

Health is nothing but life in its regular, undisturbed action. Christ gives us health by giving us Himself as our life, so He becomes our strength for our walk. (The above is an excerpt from Andrew Murray.)

How does your paradigm of who Jesus is to you need to change?

Why does knowing He is your life bring spiritual health?

What is the purpose of being spiritually healthy?

Who benefits?

Lord, may our prayers take us to the place where Jacob becomes Israel, not letting go until we have what we ask. As we abide in You, we will know Your will and desires for Your lost children.
