The Abundant Wisdom of God
True peace comes not from understanding everything, but from trusting the One who does.
True Abundance: Trusting His Goodness
These words may press on us, yet they hold release for our souls:
“Our God is in the heavens; He does all that He pleases.” (Psalm 115:3)
Could it be that the heaviness you feel comes from trying to sit on a throne that was never yours? True abundance begins when we lay down the burden of control and rest in the One who rules with wisdom and love.
God’s goodness is not measured by how smoothly life goes. His goodness is rooted in His nature—unchanging, faithful, and sure.
Job’s Story
Few people illustrate this truth better than Job. His life collapsed, his friends accused, and even Job himself questioned God’s justice. But when God spoke, He didn’t explain—He revealed Himself.
“Would you discredit my justice? Would you condemn me to justify yourself?” (Job 40:8)
“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand.” (Job 38:4)
God wasn’t mocking Job—He was giving perspective.
Job saw only loss, but God saw the tapestry of eternity. Where Job felt abandoned, God was at work in ways Job couldn’t fathom.
Surrendered Trust
The abundant life is not found in having every question answered—it’s found in trusting the One who holds the answers.
We are fully human—confused, grieving, limited. Yet through Christ, we are fully alive—anchored in His wisdom, sustained by His Spirit, and surrounded by His love.
God doesn’t ask us to hold the universe together. He asks us to trust Him who does.
Reflection
Where have you tried to measure God’s goodness by your circumstances?
What burdens of control might you need to release to Him today?
How would your peace grow if you trusted His wisdom more than your understanding?
