Today Is The Day

Let’s rejoice and be glad.

This is the day the Lord has made; Let’s rejoice and be glad. Psalm 118:24

Today Is The Day!

It is easy to think, "When I get all my ducks in a row, life will be good!"

News flash!

When your ducks get in a row, a car will backfire, the kids will pop a balloon, or the dog will decide to eat the ducks.

Internally, the thought pattern goes like this: "When "THIS" (you define your THIS) finally happens, then I can rest, rejoice, feel accomplished, and celebrate.

Recognize that when we are on a journey, it is easy to look ahead and miss who is right before us!

Let us quit striving and know that He is God.

Recognize this is the day He has given you; rejoice and be glad.

Thank Him for our children and the mess they just made.

Thank Him for that person in your life; talking to them is like petting a porcupine.

Thank Him for what He has done, is, and will do.

Remember, "ministry" is being fully present with whomever you are with presently.

Awaken us, Oh Lord, to Your presence in the present! May we receive the smelling salts of the Holy Spirit daily to awaken us to today's gift of now. Thank You for the constant reminder of Your love for me and everyone we meet. Amen
