Walking Through Seasons With Abba

His Presence Never Changes

Walking Through Seasons With Abba

His Presence Never Changes

"I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord..." Psalm 121:1-2

Recognizing The Season

Life has a way of changing seasons without asking our permission.

Sometimes we're celebrating new beginnings. Other times we're walking through loss, uncertainty, disappointment, or simply feeling weary.

If we're honest, there are seasons when we're just trying to put one foot in front of the other.

Hope Has A Way Of Returning

One of the hardest things about a difficult season is believing it won't last forever.

I've looked back over my own life enough times now to know that's simply not true. Every season has eventually changed, but through every one of them I've discovered something far more important than the change itself.

I've discovered that the Father's presence has remained constant. His love has never risen and fallen with my circumstances.

That's where my hope has learned to live.

Lift Your Eyes

When life becomes difficult, it's only natural to focus on what's right in front of us. We replay conversations, worry about tomorrow, and wonder why things happened the way they did.

Before long, our circumstances begin telling us a story the Father's heart has never been telling.

David chose another response.

"I lift up my eyes..."

I've found that when my eyes return to Abba, my problems become smaller, not because they matter less, but because His presence becomes greater in my awareness.

Walking Together

Over the years, one simple prayer has quietly changed the way I walk through difficult seasons.

Instead of asking, "Why, Lord?" I've learned to ask, "What now, Abba?" (read that again)

That question gently turns my heart away from explanations I may never receive and back toward the One who has never left my side.

More often than not, He doesn't answer every question. He simply reminds me that we are taking the next step together.

Maybe that's what faith looks like most days.

Not having every answer.

Just knowing you're never walking alone.

Reflection

What season am I walking through today?

Where have my eyes been focused?

What might Abba be inviting me to see as we walk together?

Prayer

Abba Father, thank You that Your presence never changes. Lift my eyes today and help me walk with You, trusting Your faithful love one step at a time.
