We Are Loved, Not Used
Do you understand who you are? You are not an employee of God but a child of God. Lucado
Have you ever been used by someone?
It doesn't have a good connotation in our culture.
Being used is not my goal.
Neither being used nor using another.
Yet, I have asked God to "use" me in the past.
A better but less-than-perfect ask would be that God make me usable.
But that doesn't capture our purpose in a loving relationship.
We are not created to be "used"; we are designed to be in a loving relationship with our Abba Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit.
How have you viewed your relationship with our Abba Father?
Does it look more like an employer/employee relationship?
Is it life-giving or life-deflating?
May our prayers change to, "My Papa, may I know the fullness of your love for me and others so I may live in perfect peace with You." Amen
