Face To Face With Love
Jesus Is What The Father Looks Like
The Question Beneath Every Question
Most of us carry a quiet question, whether we realize it or not:
What is God really like?
Not what we’ve been told.
Not what we’ve assumed.
But what He is actually like.
Because how we see Him shapes everything—how we relate, how we respond, even how we see ourselves.
Where God Has Made Himself Known
Scripture speaks with a kind of clarity that almost feels too simple:
“He is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being.” — Hebrews 1:3
And then Jesus says,
“If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father.”
Not part of Him.
Not a version of Him.
Him.
So whatever we think God is like…
we have to look again at Jesus.
What We See In Him
We see a God who moves toward people.
Toward the broken.
Toward the unsure.
Toward those who feel far from where they think they should be.
Not waiting for them to get it right, but meeting them right where they are.
Like a mother reaching for her child—not because the child has earned it, but because love moves first.
This is what is revealed in Jesus.
A Father who does not hold back.
A Father who does not step away.
A Father who does not abandon.
Fully God, Fully Alive As Man
And at the same time, we see something else.
We see what humanity looks like when it is fully alive in God.
Jesus lived as the Beloved Son.
Not striving to become something.
Not reaching for identity.
But living from it.
Even when tempted to step outside of that relationship—to meet His needs another way—He remained.
Anchored.
Held.
Certain of who He was.
Seeing Changes Everything
This is more than understanding something new.
It is seeing something true.
And when you begin to see Him this way, something in you begins to settle.
Not because all your questions are answered…but because the One you’re looking at is no longer unclear.
What Begins To Form
Jesus is what the Father looks like in human form.
And the more clearly you see Him,
the more gently everything else begins to realign.
Not by force.
But by love.
Reflection
Where has my view of God been shaped by something other than Jesus?
What do I notice about the way Jesus moves toward people?
What begins to shift in me as I see Him more clearly?
Prayer
Abba Father, thank You for revealing Yourself through Jesus. Help me see You as You truly are, and let that vision settle my heart. Teach me to trust what You have shown me. Amen.
