And I am convinced that nothing can separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b]neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
Be Convinced!
One of the most consistent questions or doubts I find among followers of Jesus is, “Does the Father love me?”
Of course, this would be the area the enemy would most attack since our trust is in an unconditional agape Father.
Still, many insist on pulling the pedals off the daisy, repeating, “He loves me, He loves me not, He loves me, He…”
Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, are persecuted, hungry, destitute, in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake, we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”[a]) Despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. Romans 8
But, we know this not by feeling or experience but by FAITH.
I pray that all who read this and struggle with knowing the Father’s perfect love will trust that He is good.
His love is perfect.
His love never fails.
It isn’t based on performance.
It is found in His Son, Jesus.
If you struggle with knowing our Abba Father’s love, what is the one decision you can make to move forward?
Lord, You are near. You are accustomed to our weaknesses and temptations. You understand. May we draw near You, as You promised to draw near us when we do. May Your love be our all in all. Amen
