Do You Need a Win?

What if the win isn’t the outcome, but who you become in the process?

Do You Need a Win?

Victory isn’t measured by applause, but by abiding.

There’s something hardwired in us that craves the sweet satisfaction of victory. Maybe it’s closing the deal, keeping the peace with your teenager (miracle!), or just making it through the day without spiritually drop-kicking someone in traffic.

But here’s the real question:

How Do You Define a Win?

Too often, we measure success by worldly standards: promotions, applause, and problem-free days. But heaven has a different scoreboard.

What if the win isn’t the outcome, but who you become in the process?

What if it’s not whether you felt strong… but whether you remained faithful?

Christ
Is the Winn

“When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall you also appear with him in glory.” — Colossians 3:4

Let that sink in. Christ doesn’t just give life—He is your life.

He’s not a side note to your story. He is the story.

So when you start to feel like you’re losing, pause and ask: Am I walking with Him? If the answer is yes, then you’re winning—eternally speaking.

Can You Recognize a Win in a Loss
?

When your prayer isn’t answered the way you hoped—but you trust Him anyway?
That’s a win.

When you fail, but run to God instead of hiding from Him?
That’s a win.

When you keep loving, forgiving, showing up, worshiping, even when life is hard?
That’s a Kingdom win.

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds…” – James 1:2

God uses our losses as holy sandpaper—refining, strengthening, and preparing us. Nothing is wasted.

The Real Victory? Knowing Him
.

The win isn’t always the breakthrough. It’s the belonging.

Jesus already secured the ultimate victory. Every trial, setback, and small success is now part of that bigger story.

And He’s still writing yours.

Ask yourself the following questions:

Where have I been measuring my life by worldly wins instead of eternal ones?
What past “loss” might God be using for a deeper purpose?
How may I focus on success or on staying connected to Jesus?

Prayerr

Lord Jesus, thank You that You are my life—not just my help, but my very breath. Teach me to see victory through Your eyes. Help me recognize Your hand even in my losses and to count every moment with You as gain. Amen.
