God Is With You

Confirm the truth of how you feel, but never allow the feeling to trump the Truth.

And teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:20

God Is With You

Don’t equate the presence of God with a good mood or a pleasant temperament. God is near whether you are happy or not. Sometimes, you must take your feelings outside and give them a good talking-to. Max Lucado

Sometimes, we do not feel His presence in our journey with God.

Some call these:

“The dry times”

“The Dark Days”

“The desert”

Regardless of the title, most people experience these times.

And these are the times when we become vulnerable to lies.

The lies will sound like this:

If you were better, you would experience more of God.

If you try harder, you will sense His presence.

It must have been something you did wrong.

But those are not true.

The fact that He is not present is invalid; you don’t feel His presence is valid.

Because God promised never to leave you.

Confirm the truth of how you feel, but never allow the feeling to trump the Truth.

How have you responded to not feeling God’s presence?

What are some scriptural truths that speak about God’s everpresence?

Lord, You cannot leave a believer because You are His life. You have hidden us with Jesus in You. You promised that there is nothing that can separate us from Your love. Find us living by the truth, not feelings. Amen
