He Made The Mountains
Trusting The Heart Behind The Power
“He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” Colossians 1:17
More Than A Mountain Mover
Faith in Him who not only can move mountains, but created them!
I can become so occupied with the mountain in front of me that I forget who I’m talking to when I pray. Abba knows how large it looks from where I’m standing, and He welcomes me with all my questions.
The One Who Made Our Eyes
Jesus not only can heal blind eyes; He created them. The people we bring to Him in prayer are never strangers whose needs we must convince Him to care about.
We can ask boldly for healing while remembering that we are speaking with Someone who already loves us.
His power is never separated from His heart.
More Than I Can Hold Together
Job describes God as the One who “suspends the earth over nothing” (Job 26:7).
I have trouble keeping my own little corner of life together, yet I can still catch myself trying to manage what belongs in His hands!
He isn’t asking me to become strong enough to carry everything.
He has shared His Life with me, and I get to face this day with Him.
How Far Love Goes
The One who created all of this went so far as to die so we could live.
His greatness isn’t only revealed in what He can do, but in how completely He gives Himself.
The hands that made the mountains were stretched out for us. That is the strength—and the Love—I’m trusting.
Reflection
What has become larger in my attention than the One I’m trusting?
What does the cross reveal about His heart?
Who can I bring before Him in love today?
Prayer
Abba Father, let Your greatness awaken hope, and Your Love deepen my trust. Amen.
