Identity As Beloved

Something more than vanity.

So she ran and came to Simon Peter and the other disciple whom Jesus loved, saying to them, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.” John 20:2

Identity As Beloved

Six times.

Six times, the Apostle John referred to himself as "the disciple whom Jesus loved".

This was something other than vanity.

He did not claim that Jesus loved him the most or didn't love the others.

This was his identity.

Read his other letters.

Love is the mark of his life and the basis for his being.

May each of us know the fullness of our being His "Beloved".

How does everything change when you realize the perfectness of being loved by the Perfect?

What happens to your fears, dreams, desires, relationships, and circumstances when you know perfect love?

Lord, may being Your beloved no longer be our concept or mantra but our reality. Amen
