Let The Light Reveal Him

When Good Works Reveal Abba Father

Let The Light Reveal Him

When Good Works Reveal Abba Father

“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16

The Purpose Of Light

A light does not enter a room trying to be noticed.

It simply shines.

And when it does, what was hidden begins to be seen. The table, the faces, the path through the room, the beauty that was already there but hard to recognize in the dark.

That is what makes Jesus’ words so beautiful.

He does not tell us to shine so people will be impressed with us. He says the light shines so people can see the good works and glorify Abba.

The light is not the point.

The Father is.

What People Begin To See

When love moves through your life, people may notice kindness they did not expect, patience they did not earn, generosity that cannot be explained by convenience, or forgiveness that feels almost unreasonable.

Those are the good works Jesus is talking about.

Not religious performance.

Not trying to look spiritual.

Not drawing attention to ourselves.

They are the visible evidence of an invisible Love moving through ordinary people.

The Honor To Shine His Light

The light does not begin with us, but we have the joy of letting it pass through us.

As we live from the love of Abba, the life of Jesus, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, our lives begin to reveal the One who has been loving the world all along.

Not perfectly.

But truly.

And sometimes someone sees a small act of love and realizes there must be Someone beautiful behind it.

The Beauty Hidden In Your Life

So do not worry about whether your light is impressive enough.

That was never its purpose.

Let His love shine through the good placed in front of you today. A word. A meal. A prayer. A quiet act of mercy. A moment of patience when irritation would have been easier.

The light in you is not trying to make your name great.

It reveals the goodness of Abba. And that is a holy honor.

Reflection

Where might His love be asking to shine through me today?

What good work is already in front of me?

How can my life point people toward Abba instead of toward me?

Prayer

Abba Father, let Your love shine through my life in ways that reveal You. Make my ordinary moments windows of Your goodness. Amen.
