Love Love Love
The Life We Were Made To Share
“But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions.” Galatians 5:22, TPT
All You Need
“All you need is love,” sang Lennon and McCartney.
Jesus calls us to love God and our neighbors, and Paul calls love the goal of our instruction (1 Timothy 1:5).
We can make the Christian life complicated, but our purpose is to love.
We are learning to love with the Love Abba has already poured into us, not trying to produce something He has left us to supply.
What Are We Building?
What matters isn’t how impressive our church name becomes, but whether the person walking through the door finds someone glad they’re there and will walk with them through love.
Love has room for people, not just their polished Sunday versions.
Love is the building block of God’s Kingdom.
We are His Body, growing together as His kindness becomes a welcome, His mercy becomes forgiveness, and someone discovers their failures aren’t being kept on file.
His Well, Not My Cistern
I can get so caught up in trying to love well that I forget where Love comes from...
The Holy Spirit isn’t asking me to keep dipping into my own dwindling supply. He shares Jesus' life with us. We don’t have to hurry past being loved to become useful.
We rest in His Love and become a place where someone else can rest, too.
Sink into His Love like a feather bed on a cold morning, and rest.
Reflection
Where am I trying to love from my cistern instead of His well?
Who could experience His welcome through me?
How is His Love drawing us together?
Prayer
Abba Father, let Your Spirit draw us into the Love we share with You and one another. Make Your kindness visible through us. Amen.
