Room For Another Chapter
There Is Still Life To Love
“Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on…” Philippians 3:13–14
The Empty Places
Losing someone we love, a relationship, or a dream leaves an empty place. We can spend days revisiting what happened, imagining how things might have been different.
But filling those places with regret will never give us solid ground to stand on.
We need room to grieve, receive kindness, and discover that enjoying today doesn’t mean yesterday mattered less.
All The Chapters
“You couldn't relive your life, skipping the awful parts, without losing what made it worthwhile. You had to accept it as a whole—like the world, or the person you loved.” Stewart O’Nan
It takes all the chapters to make the whole story.
We don’t have to call everything that happened good to recognize the love, wisdom, and compassion we’ve received along the way.
Don’t let regrets, could’ve, would’ve, or should’ve tarnish the beauty of your life.
Some people's lives are richer because you are part of them.
Free To Keep Living
We don’t have to stop missing someone to enjoy another day. We can carry gratitude for the people and seasons we’ve loved without needing to recreate them, and still allow ourselves to live again.
Christ was there, is here, and will be there. Our days unfold in time, but His Love isn’t confined to it. He shares His Life with us here, where another friendship, another laugh, and another opportunity to love can still become part of our story.
You have permission to move on without leaving love behind.
Reflection
What am I trying to change by replaying yesterday?
What can I carry forward with gratitude?
What part of today am I ready to enjoy with Jesus?
Prayer
Abba Father, meet us in what we miss. Help us receive today with gratitude and welcome the life we still get to share. Amen.
