Saying...Nothing

Wise are those who restrain their talking; people with understanding are cool-headed. Fools who keep quiet are deemed wise; those who shut their lips are smart. Proverbs 17:27-28

Be Still

A wise man once said....nothing.

We have many chances to say nothing, but we rarely seize the opportunity.

When might saying nothing be most appropriate?

When not joining gossip.

When we are tempted to defend ourselves.

When you know the answer, but someone else needs to learn it on their own.

I'm still learning this one, my friends.

Come on the journey and learn with me.

Describe a time when saying nothing could have been the most potent choice.

How would the situation have been different had you been quiet?

What are some relationships that are better served by being quiet?

Lord, we need your wisdom. Just as Jesus only spoke what He heard You say, may we learn your voice and obey. Then we will know what, when, and if to speak. Amen
