Strength Working Through Weakness

Your stong will, may be your stumbling block...

I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me], you can do nothing. John 15:5

“The moment we recognize our complete weakness and dependence upon Him will be the very moment that the Spirit of God will exhibit His power.” Oswald Chambers

For years I believed I was weak-willed because I had numerous poor habits I couldn't break.

Whether these were addictive agents or dependence upon others, I was in bondage.

My battle was because I had chosen to depend on those things that enslaved me instead of freeing me as the Holy Spirit does.

By His mercy, He revealed that my issue wasn't a weak will but a strong one!

I was determined to change based on my strength.

God realized that would only increase my pride and diminish Him being glorified through me.

How wonderful the revelation of my weakness became in light of His grace doing what I could not do!

If you have a recurring habit that leads to dependency, it isn't a problem but a pattern. A pattern of your strong will.

How are you living life on your terms and in your strength?

Confess your total weakness and dependence upon Him. He will come through for His glory.

Lord, You said it is for freedom that You have set us free. May we see that this freedom is of You, from You, and for Your glory! Amen
