Then Ezra told them, “Go your way, eat the rich festival food, drink the sweet drink, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be worried, for the joy of the Lord is your strength and your stronghold.” Nehemiah 8:10
Take Joy Into Your Circumstances
Circumstances don't inform joy; joy informs every circumstance.
Instead of trying to get something out of your circumstances, why not take something into your circumstances?
Consider taking joy.
Realize that the joy of the Lord is your strength and your stronghold.
When you take joy into each circumstance, then your results change.
The circumstance may not change, but its ability to affect you negatively will.
When you bring joy into your circumstances, you will learn, grow, and bear more fruit.
With joy, every circumstance will be fruitful.
Remember that you are hidden with Christ in God, and so are your circumstances!
How might you approach your circumstances differently to be more fruitful?
Lord, forgive us for trying to manipulate our circumstances instead of informing them with Your joy. May we find ourselves formed by You, not informed by our circumstances. May Your glory shine through each moment of our life. Amen
