“God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3:17
The Antidote Is Love
Racism is real, even if you don’t experience it personally.
Racism is an issue of the heart.
In its basest form, it degrades another person our Heavenly Father created and loves.
Racism cannot be love, for it dishonors another.
If you have a prejudice against people who are black, white, red, republican, democrat, or Islamic, it is not discernment; it is judgment, and that is not our job.
Even Jesus didn't have it in His job description when He walked this earth.
The only lasting and multiplying antidote is unconditional love.
Not a love that loves ducks, puppies, and rainbows, but a radical Kingdom-changing love!
A love that gives up its life unto death type of love.
A love that realizes that we all are image-bearers of our Heavenly Father and that He so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever should believe in, that is, trust, lean on, and wholly rely upon will have eternal life—that is the life of the Father now within them.
The life of the Life-giver.
Christ came to redeem and restore ALL of us to the image of God.
And racism screams in the face of God that others are not worthy of His love or to bear His image.
Unconditional love is the Antidote.
Where do your prejudices originate?
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal your prejudices and change your heart.
Lord, give us Your eyes to see the value in every person we see. Give us your heart to love them as You love them. Thank you for not rejecting me. Amen
