The First And The Last

Embrace new beginnings and necessary endings.

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

The First And The Last

There will always be;

The first hello and the last hello.

The first kiss and the last kiss.

The first goodbye and the last goodbye.

The first holding of a child and the last holding of a child.

The first bike ride and the last bike ride.

The first day of school and the last day of school.

The first job and the last job.

The first family meal and the last family meal.

The first gift and the last gift.

Humans tend to look behind and ahead but rarely live in the present.

Either yesterday was excellent, and I want to live there, or it was awful, and I desire to live in tomorrow.

Yet, the rhythm of life is one of beginning and end.

Much like moving from room to room in a large house.

Each room has a purpose.

Time in each room is for growth, resulting in fruitfulness.

I have learned that whatever has a beginning here on earth also has a necessary end.

God is blessing us with the ability to delight in new beginnings and necessary endings.

Where do you see yourself now?

A new beginning?

A necessary ending?

What is God leading you to embrace as you seek clarity for now?

You are the Lord of the dance! Please take our hearts and allow us to delight in Your presence in our present. Amen
