The Fruit Is For You… And It Flows Through You
Living From The Life That Doesn’t Stop With You
A Story That Feels Familiar
A father tells his son late one afternoon, “Son, go out and get some grapes for supper.”
So the son walks into the vineyard, finds a shady place, and starts eating. One handful turns into another, and before long, he is full. The moment feels easy, and he falls asleep.
Later, his father comes looking for him.
“It’s time for supper. Gather what you’ve picked and bring it in so the family can enjoy it.”
The son looks up, surprised.
“I thought these grapes were for me.”
What The Vineyard Was Always About
The grapes were for him.
And they were meant to go further than him.
They were meant to be gathered, carried, and shared. Some would eat them fresh. Some would press them into juice. Some would make wine. Some would turn them into jams and jellies.
The vineyard was never about consumption alone.
It was about participation.
What Jesus Shows Us About Fruit
Jesus says, “I am the vine; you are the branches.”
The fruit He speaks of is love.
Not something we produce.
Something He produces.
It is the fruit of the Vine, not the branch.
The branch doesn’t strain to create it. It bears what is already flowing.
What Happens When We Remain
When you remain in Him, fruit comes.
Not forced. Not managed.
Love begins to move.
You receive it, and you give it. You are nourished by it even as it flows through you.
You are not outside of it—you are part of it.
Someone is encouraged.
Someone is seen.
Someone experiences something they can’t explain, but they know it mattered.
That’s His life.
What This Awakens
The fruit is not for a select few.
It is for all who remain.
You are included.
Not just as someone who receives, but as someone through whom His life is expressed.
What This Becomes
You begin to see your life differently.
Not something you have to make meaningful, but something already filled with meaning because His life is in you.
The fruit was never meant to stay with you.
It was meant to flow through you—feeding you, reaching others, revealing Him in ordinary moments.
You don’t produce love. You live from it.
Reflection
Where am I trying to produce what He is already giving?
Where have I experienced His love flowing through me?
Who is in front of me right now who could receive it?
Prayer
Abba Father, thank You that Your love is not something I have to create, but something You are already giving. Help me remain in You and let Your life flow through me in ways that bless others and reveal You. Amen.
