Generosity begins in the heart of the Father before it ever reaches our hands. This series is an invitation to notice who Papa is loving, what He is revealing, and how His love wants to become visible through us.
The Question Generosity Asks
Who Do You Want To Love Through Me?
“We love because He first loved us.” — 1 John 4:19
Some questions can shape an entire day.
We can wake up asking, “What do I need to get done?” or “How will I have enough?”
But there is a question that begins in the Father’s heart before it reaches our calendar.
“Abba, who do You want to love through me today?”
The Love That Starts First
The Apostle John does not say we love because we are naturally generous or spiritually impressive.
We love because He first loved us.
Generosity is the Father’s love first received in Christ and then released through sons and daughters.
We are not the source; we are invited to participate in the Source.
The Eyes Love Opens
The person Papa wants to love through us may be closer than we think.
Across the table. Down the hall. Behind the counter. Inside the conversation we nearly rush past.
Generosity begins when Papa opens our eyes to the need for love in front of us.
Then what He has given takes shape as forgiveness, encouragement, attention, comfort, help, or money as it flows from Him through us.
The Joy Of Participating
Generosity is not merely giving more.
It is joining the Father’s love as it moves toward another person.
Tomorrow morning, before the day gets loud, ask the question.
“Abba, who do You want to love through me today?”
Then watch for the person His love is already moving toward.
The gift may pass through your hands, your words, your attention, or your presence.
But the love began in Abba’s heart, and He is letting it become visible through yours.
Reflection
Who might Papa be inviting me to notice today?
What has He placed in me that can become love for someone else?
How can generosity become visible in my ordinary life?
Prayer
Abba Father, open my eyes to who You are loving today. Let Your love move through my words, hands, attention, and life. Amen.
