The Strength Kindness Shares
Here, Take My Hand
“When the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us…” — Titus 3:4–5
Love Comes Close
Kindness is Love making room for another person’s need. It offers what we have without making them feel small for needing it.
The Greek word chrēstotēs speaks of goodness and kindness shown to others. Jesus shows us that goodness can be a touch, a meal, or a welcome.
He Reached For Him
A man with leprosy was unsure whether Jesus would help. Jesus touched him and said, “I am willing.” He reached toward the man before he was healed (Luke 5:12–13).
After raising a little girl, Jesus made sure she had something to eat. Everyone was astonished by the miracle, but her ordinary need still mattered to Him (Mark 5:41–43).
The Father We See
Jesus served Peter breakfast before their conversation about love and caring for His sheep. Peter’s failure hadn’t ended the relationship; Jesus welcomed him back into life together (John 21:9–17).
Jesus revealed His Father's kindness. Through His tenderness, we see the heart of Abba, who knows our needs and moves toward us in Love.
His Kindness Among Us
Most of us already know where we feel weak.
We need someone willing to share strength, not another reminder of what we cannot manage.
The Holy Spirit’s kindness can become our willingness to listen, help carry a burden, or offer company when someone feels alone. We receive His Love and become people through whom others can receive it too.
Kindness doesn’t stand over our weakness. It comes alongside with strength to share.
Reflection
What does Jesus’ kindness reveal about Abba?
Who needs our strength more than another explanation?
Where do we need to receive kindness ourselves?
Prayer
Abba Father, let us receive Your tenderness and share it freely, so others experience Your Love through us. Amen.
