But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. Galatians 5:16 ESV
Let me emphasize this: As you yield to the dynamic life and power of the Holy Spirit, you will abandon the cravings of your self-life. ' Galatians 5:16 TPT
Walk By The Spirit
Being a Christian is less about cautiously avoiding sin than about courageously and actively doing God's will. Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Step on a crack, break yo' mama's back!
Remember playing that game as a child?
Many of us continue to walk in childish ways instead of by childlike faith.
We play games of coloring inside the lines instead of living the colorful new life that exposes the world to His love.
Do you walk with Christ as if constantly walking on thin ice?
Are you fearing that you will misstep at any moment and not only go under the water but also take Christ with you?
Do you constantly question whether you should do this or that, whether it is from Him, whether you are leading, whether it is sin or not?
I want to yell, "Stop It"!
But that doesn't work because that by itself is often led by your flesh and not by the Spirit.
Jesus is our Life
All living of the Christian life comes from Him, through Him, and to Him.
We must look no further than surrender to let Him live His life as us.
And He gives Grace for our surrender.
When we become love as we are conformed to His image, we find abundant life.
Now go on outside and play!
How have you been more concerned with not sinning instead of just being His beloved child?
What would your world look like if you were living fully alive?
Who else may be set free once you are free?
Lord, You have given us the mystery of the ages, Christ in us. May we yield to life and not law. Amen
