When Love Follows Through
Letting Our Lives Say It Too
“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. 1 John 3:18
Love needs action. Trust needs proof. Sorry needs change.
Love In The Ordinary
I can tell someone I care and still give them only the attention I have left over.
I’m learning that love gets personal when I put down what I’m doing and make room for the person beside me.
Jesus didn’t love us only in words. He gave Himself, and His Life within us becomes time offered, burdens shared, and kindness that doesn’t need an audience.
A Reason To Trust
When I say, “You can trust me,” the other person needs more than my confidence in myself.
Keeping my word and protecting what they’ve shared in confidence give them something real to trust.
When trust has been hurt, it takes time to repair.
Forgiveness can be freely offered without pretending trust has already been rebuilt.
When Sorry Becomes Care
An apology opens a conversation; it doesn’t finish the healing. I can listen to how I’ve hurt someone, make amends where I can, and receive help with what needs to change.
Abba’s grace isn’t waiting at the finish line for me to get this right. His Spirit works within me as I learn to live the love I’ve spoken.
We aren’t doing these things to become worthy of His love. We are already loved, and now someone else gets to experience that Love through us.
I want my “I love you” to be something people experience, not something they have to take my word for.
Reflection
Where could my love become more tangible?
What promise needs my follow-through?
Where could an apology become the beginning of change?
Prayer
Abba Father, let Your grace give life to my words. Help others experience Your Love through mine. Amen.
