When Tomorrow Steals Today

Love Meets You Now

When Tomorrow Steals Today

Love Meets You Now

“Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.” Matthew 6:34

Stress often begins when our feet are here, but our hearts are trying to live there.

We feel behind in our calling, behind in our healing, behind in becoming the person we think we should already be. While our bodies stand in today, our hearts can be pulled into a day Abba has not handed to us.

The Future We Keep Entering

Worry takes the imagination Abba gave us and turns it toward a future we do not even want.

The gift meant to see beauty and promise starts rehearsing loss, failure, and disappointment. Our souls grow tired because we are trying to live tomorrow without the grace that belongs to tomorrow.

The Place Love Finds Us

Jesus calls us back to the place where His love is meeting us.

Abba is not waiting for a finished, healed, understood version of us before He delights in us.

Christ is our life here. His Spirit is within us now. The Father is loving the son or daughter standing in this unfinished day.

The Grace Beneath This Step

Peace begins when “here” stops feeling like failure.

Here is where He is guiding. Here is where the next grace is given.

The future may need our planning, but it does not get our peace. The past may need healing, but it does not define our identity.

Today is no proof that we are behind. It is where Abba is already with us, already loving us, and already leading us into the next step love has prepared.

You do not have to become “there” to be beloved.

You are held here.

Reflection

Where have I been trying to live in a day Abba has not handed me?

How has worry been using my imagination?

What grace is Abba giving me here?

Prayer

Abba, Father, bring my heart back to where Your love meets me now. Quiet the future I keep rehearsing, and help me receive today’s grace in Christ. Amen.
