You Are A Masterpiece
Trusting The One Who Made You
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10, NLT
Who Is Painting The Picture?
Throughout our lives, people will try to paint us with their opinions, criticism, condemnation, and insults.
We can begin seeing ourselves through their interpretation instead of recognizing the person Abba created.
Sometimes we spend years trying to prove those opinions wrong. Even then, someone else’s words can still be deciding what we think we need to become.
The Artist Knows His Work
Paul calls us God’s masterpiece.
Our value isn’t waiting for everyone to agree, and Abba isn’t asking us to collect enough compliments to believe we belong.
There is room to grow, receive wise correction, and heal without treating ourselves as a mistake.
The Father knows the difference between what needs tending and the worth of the person He is tending.
His Life Through Yours
God’s desired expression of Himself through you is more beautiful than anyone else’s interpretation of you.
Christ shares His Life with us, and His Love finds expression through people who aren’t all alike.
Someone may experience His tenderness through your patience or find encouragement in a part of your story you once wished you could erase.
What Abba is growing in you is also a gift we get to receive.
You don’t have to live as a response to someone else’s criticism. You get to live as an expression of His Love. Trust who God says you are.
Reflection
Whose words have been shaping how I see myself?
What does Abba say is true about me?
Who might experience His Love through me today?
Prayer
Abba Father, help me trust the beauty You see and let Your Love find its own expression through my life. Amen.
